Passing drills for U6-U8

Just pass it round. Stay on your corner and groove an accurate, weighted pass and a clean first touch before adding the movement.

Raise the pulse and prime the first touch with passing on the move. Keep the pace easy, receive across the body while jogging, and pass gently to your partner's path.

Drive an accurate ball into the zone at feet. Clean, firm contact over a manageable distance, with accuracy first.

Weight the pass through the gate and move to support, with time. Two touches, split the wider gate cleanly and move to receive the next one.

Groove the weight and timing. Slide the ball into space and the runner times the run to take it in stride, in rhythm.

Quick feet, open up and play the diagonal. Sharp feet through the ladder, an open first touch, and an accurate shorter diagonal into the target's path.

Pass and receive across the star. Open the body to receive the angled pass, take a clean first touch, and weight the longer pass accurately to the far point.

Pass and receive accurately on the diagonal. Open the body to receive, take a clean first touch across the body, and weight the diagonal pass to the far line down the channel.

Raise the pulse and prime the first touch with passing and movement in a triangle. Keep the pace easy, move after every pass, and receive across the body to keep it flowing.

Pass accurately and with the right weight through a target gate. Strike a clean line through the middle of the gate, weight it to your partner, and adjust the angle as you move between gates.

Pass, then follow. Play an accurate pass to the next corner, take a positive first touch, and follow your pass to keep the rotation going.

Groove the receive and turn. Check to receive, take an open first touch across your body, and turn smoothly to play forward.

Beat a defender with a wall pass and a burst of pace. Commit the defender, play the pass firmly to the wall player's back foot, and explode past to receive the first-time return in behind.

Raise the pulse and prime the first touch with continuous passing and movement. Keep everyone moving, receive across the body, and switch the play with a firm diagonal.

Bank clean reps off the board. Pass with firm weight, control the rebound with a cushioned first touch that sets you to pass again, and repeat with both feet.
